We are currently seeking an experienced Supervisor for our Health Claims Customer Service department in our âSt Louis Squareâ Las Vegas office (190! 1 Las Vegas Blvd S).
Job Responsibilities:
Supervises staff, demonstrating leadership qualities consistent with management values and mission.
Develops staff through performance management, goal setting, training, and effective employee relations.
Oversees quality and quantity of work produced, insuring employees are held accountable and expectations are consistently met.
Provides input into departmental budget and oversees expenses to insure efficient operation within budget guidelines.
Develops, implements and monitors internal systems, policies and procedures to insure operations are in compliance with client needs, new developments, regulations, and reporting requirements.
Responds to inquiries and requests from members, clients, government agencies, unions, participants, attorneys, and consultants.
Responds to member calls that are elevated by staff or during peak periods.
Identifies inefficiencies, troubleshoots equipmen! t problems, and implements solutions.

Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable.
Five to seven years of health claims customer service experience, with at least three years of prior supervisory experience, preferably in the TPA or insurance industry.
Excellent operational management skills, both technical and interpersonal.
Strong leadership skills.
Good understanding of claims operations to include payment of claims, interpretation of contracts, communication of benefits, etc.
Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, project management, and presentation skills.
Ability to lead by example, make tough decisions, drive issues and work successfully with internal and external contacts at all levels.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Intermediate to advanced PC skills including Word and Excel.
Taft-Har! tley benefits administration experience and previous experience supervi! sing a unionized staff are a plus.
