Your Role...
You are an expert in data protection field and, as such, you will be responsible for assisting the Data Protection Officer in the different activities of the mission (training, advising & monitoring). Therefore, you will be in charge of the following tasks:
- Assist the DPO in the different actions of the compliance program defined by the Rectorate;
- Monitor & validate the entries in the personal data processing records of the University;
- Develop training material targeting administrative and academic staff;
- Review agreements involving personal data processing;
- Prepare & negotiate the said agreements if needed for data protection aspects;
- Support the DPO in advising and providing legal opinions to internal stakeholders;
- Help the DPO in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments.
- Ensure the DPO’s back-up during absences;
- Assist the DPO in monitoring of personal data processing activities on demand.
What we expect from you…
- Master in Law or equivalent covering the field of data protection
- First probing professional experience in a position dealing mainly with data protection;
- Expertise in data protection issues, including regulation, implementation principles and solutions, processes and technologies involved and organisational aspects;
- Interest for data protection and ancillary regulation (e.g. e-privacy), legislation & new technologies (e.g cloud, etc.)
- Excellent command of English and fluency in French, any other language is considered as an asset;
- Excellent handling of MSOffice (Word, Excel & PowerPoint). Being confident with IT tools;
- Expected skills & qualities:
- Proactivity, flexibility, autonomy & pragmatism.
- Good negociation and communication skills.
- Confidentiality and discretion.
