We are currently seeking a Claims Supervisor to lead a group of health claims processors in our Las Vegas office on Russell Ro! ad. Responsibilities Include: Supervises staff, demonstrating leadership qualities consistent with management values and mission. Develops staff through performance management, goal setting, training, and effective employee relations. Oversees quality and quantity of work produced, ensuring that employees are held accountable and expectations are consistently met. Provides input into departmental budget and oversees expenses to ensure efficient operation within budget guidelines. Develops, implements, and monitors internal systems and procedures to maintain compliance with client needs, new developments, regulations, and reporting requirements. Responds to inquiries and requests from clients, government agencies, unions, participants, attorneys, and consultants. Identifies inefficiencies, troubleshoots equipment problems, and implements solutions. Prepares claims rebuttals and/or appeals, and implements plan changes and audit results. Participates in new business presentati! ons and client meetings as requested, attends benefit fairs, a! nd assists in the implementation of new clients.
Qualifications: Education/Experience Associate degree (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be acceptable). Minimum 2-3 years supervisory or lead experience in automated claims administration in the insurance/TPA industry. Medical Claims Processing, Billing or Customer Service experience preferred. Skills Excellent operational management skills, both technical and interpersonal. Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel) required. Strong leadership skills. Thorough understanding of claims operations to include payment of claims, interpretation of contracts, communication of benefits, etc… Intermediate to Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills. Demonstrated strong communication, project management, and presentation skills.
