Set up all claim files.
Set up litigation files.
Review and investigate minor guest claims to determine liability e! xposure as expeditiously as possible.
Subrogate claims against third parties to seek monies owed to hotel.
Accurately track payments and reserve balance in Riskmaster database.
Have ability to correspond in a timely and professional manner with guests and/or attorneys.
Maintain the department administrative filing system. Properly organize and maintain claim files.
Administer and maintain the Certificate of Insurance program for Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.
Administer and maintain the MMSEA reporting program for Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino.
Able to keep caseloads at manageable level, maintain and utilize diary system and ability to utilize Index System for background investigations.
Keep manager informed of claim status and advise of training issues and concerns. Promptly report serious claims to department manager.
Perform a variety of non-routine administrative projects and assignments and ! provides administrative support to Risk Management Department.!
Handle inter-departmental documents and distributes incoming mail and other documents to department personnel as appropriate.
Maintain confidential files for the Risk Management Department.
Schedule conferences, seminars and meetings.
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Required:
At least 2 years of administrative experience in a Hotel/Casino environment and/or a service-related industry.
Excellent customer service skills.
Able to lead and mentor a team.
Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
Preferred:
Previous insurance services experience.
Excellent admi! nistrative and organizational skills to function efficiently with attention to detail while performing multiple work assignments and meeting established deadlines.
Ability to read and interpret statistical data, work independently and coordinate projects with minimal supervision.
Effective listening skills with strong judgment ability.
Demonstrate a proactive work style while maintaining a professional demeanor in dealings with sensitive and confidential matters.
Computer efficiency with superior skills in working with computer software such as: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and/or equivalent.
Possess exemplary reading skills in order to evaluate written material.
Previous experience working in a similar resort setting.
