AS A VOLUNTARY ATTORNEY MEMBER ON THE AIR POLLUTION CONTROL HEARING BOARD The Clark County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) is seeking to fill the remaini! ng term of the attorney member on the Air Pollution Control (APC) Hearing Board. The term of office will begin on the date of appointment and end on its set expiration of July 24, 2015. Prospective candidates must be an attorney admitted to practice law in Nevada. The APC Hearing Board is a seven-member board appointed by the BCC that is responsible for hearing enforcement and permit appeals, assessing civil penalties, and acting on exemptions and variances of regulatory requirements and other Department of Air Quality (DAQ) issues that come before the board for resolution.

Applicants must be a resident of Nevada and shall not be an employee of the State of Nevada or any other political subdivision of the state. This is a voluntary appointment with no compensation. The board generally meets four to six times per year. Applications will only be accepted on the form provided, which may be obtained on the DAQ website at: http://www.clarkcountynv.gov/depts/airquality/p! ages/default.aspx or by contacting (702) 455-3206.

Completed applications must arrive at the DAQ office by 4:00 p.m. on September 30, 2013. All submitted applications become public record and available for public review. Recommendations for selection will be presented to the BCC at a future meeting.
