AIG has an opportunity for an Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal in the Las Vegas Staff Counsel Office. The Paralegal will be responsible for collaboratively working with multiple attorne! ys within Construction Default Litigation.
AIG Staff Counsel has an opportunity for a Paralegal in our new Las Vegas, NV of f ice.
The of f ice w ill handle general and professional liability claims, including auto, premises, product liabilty, construction defect, agents and brokers, medical malpractice, etc. Key responsibilities for this position include:
Assist attorneys during all phases of Construction Defect, Casualty, and Professional Liability litigation, including but not limited to, communication w ith clients, experts and other legal counsel; preparation of discovery responses; summarizing discovery responses and medicals; preparation of expert witness designations; review ing and summarizing job f iles and assisting attorneys w ith trial preparation.
Position Requirements
- 6 to 9 years’ experience in a Paralegal role assisting multiple Attorneys.
- Paralegal certification
- Background in Construction Defa! ult litigation a must
- Full knowledge of Nevada Rules ! of Civil Procedure, trial preparation skills and familiarity with litigation/document management systems.
- Impeccable communication skills- written and verbal.
