Top growing company Off Shift(12 noon to 10 PM) Will be managing 7 Supervisors ! and 75 hourlies
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Manages shipping workflow to ensure optimum service levels and RE (reasonable expectancies) is maintained. Monitors appropriate shipping area(s) to ensure proper service levels are maintained. Ensures dock area is secure. Oversees service levels to ensure delivery trucks depart on time and as scheduled and ensures back-up delivery service if required. Manages loading of drop shipments into delivery trucks. Prepares bills of lading. Resolves customer issues. Utilizes AL system to perform daily uploads and close-outs. Monitors and orders loose-fill (peanuts) material. Conducts weekly department meetings to foster communication and discuss improvement opportunities. Operates basic and advanced warehouse vehicles (i.e., electric pallet jack, forklift, turret truck and/or order picker). Tracks and submits weekly reports regarding catalog shipments, transfers processed, and/or error rates. Prom! otes safe work practices. Attends cross-functional meetings re! garding new procedures or improvements to the current system. Resolves manifest issues, as needed. Documents attendance, submits payroll information, and conducts reviews for large associate base. Performs all duties inherent in the role of Operations Manager as defined in the company code of conduct including hiring, termination, review and development of associates. Fosters the Company Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of company’s mission. In order to meet customer service requirements, associates can be temporarily re-assigned to other warehouse functions. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.
Qualifications & Requirements:
High school diploma or the equivalent required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Warehouse/Distribution Center Management Must have experience managing multiple supervisors and 50 plus hourlies Experience with utilization of p! roductivity metrics Basic computer literacy required. Knowledge of AS/400 system required. Basic knowledge of packing and shipping process. Must be open to shift
