Casino Collections is responsible for pursuing collections of those guests who use our casino credit. Under minimal direction, the Senior Collector supports ALL aspects/areas of collections at Wynn|Encore. This position will provide assistance/direction to other collectors while being a source of information to all within the department and employees of Casino Collections.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delegating daily work and assisting the Collection Manager in training the rest of the staff.
- Responsible for preparing reports and assisting with resolution of billing disputes/inquires for extended credit, and collection of outstanding casino receivables.
- Monitoring collection portfolios to ensure resolution is timely and accurate.
- Communicating with guests by mail/phone/electronic to encourage payment of delinquent accounts; including review of terms or credit contract with guest.
- Recording and documenting information about financial status of guest and status of collection efforts.
- Ensures proper posting and reporting of payments.
- Assist attorney or collection agency as needed.
- May be required to make court appearances on behalf of the company
- Candidates must possess the ability to handle difficult customers while still maintaining a positive attitude and to make decisions on the spot when necessary.
- Ability to resolve conflict and confrontations with difficult delinquency situations and guest reaction.
- Must have thorough follow up.
- Must have Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to accurately perform multiple tasks simultaneously while projecting a positive image to guests and co-workers.
- Requires two to five years experience as a collector in a Casino Collections department with previous training and/ or supervisory experience a plus.
- Must be proficient in MS office with excellent customer service and telephone skills.
- A valid Nevada Gaming License is required and must be obtained before entering this position.
