Overview of Position

Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster

This position will allow you to use your investigative and negotiation skills in a fast paced environment while protect! ing the assets of the company. The incumbent will concentrate ! on general liability and auto liability with an opportunity to handle both property and injury losses and litigated cases.

Manage individual automobile liability claims files, including but not limited to Bodily Injury, Property Damage, Litigation cases, and Subrogation claims

Evaluate policy coverage, contact insureds, claimants, attorneys, body shops and medical staff to determine injuries stemming from an accident while determining and establishing reserve requirements.

Plan and conduct investigations to analyze coverage, determine liability, compensability, and extent of damages.

Maintain accurate records and handle administrative responsibilities associated with processing and payment of claims. Records and updates status notes, and document results of contacts, relevant medical reports and duration information per file posting standards.

Evaluate claim for potential fraud.

Assess actual damages associated with clai! ms and conduct negotiations to settle claims.

Input data and information of a standard/routine nature into specialized systems while achieving productivity standards, which include any required documentation to complete, maintain, or settle a claim.

Create claim file reports for management, such as record of payments, review of litigation plans, subrogation summaries

Maintain positive customer relationships in all dealings with the public and fellow employees.

Follow all laws and regulations pertaining to insurance laws

Other duties as assigned by Risk Manager.

Qualifications

3+ years automobile liability claims adjustment and claims adjustment management

3+ years experience in Bodily Injury claims

Advance experience with MS Office (Word and Excel)

Should possess good judgment and decision making abilities

Must be detail oriented

College Degree Preferred

Inde! pendent Claims Adjusters License Required

Must have a valid Ne! vada driver license
