Experienced Medical Billing Specialist/Manager

Durable Medical Equipment Supply company in Las Vegas seeks an experienced Medical Billing Manager who will be responsible for all billing functions. !

Required Experience/Knowledge:

• Minimum of 2 years of billing experience, preferably in durable medical equipment or orthopedics
• Familiar with in-network and out-of network billing as well as Attorney liens process
• Experience with Medicare billing process and maintaining Medicare compliance
• Experience with credentialing process with various insurance companies
• Experience with month-end reporting and tracking collections
• Excellent customer service and communication skills and experience dealing with patients and other clients
• Ability to remain highly organized and detail-oriented while managing a number of tasks at the same time

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Use coding information correctly as it appears in the patients’ documentation in order to reprocess and/or appeal claims as necessary
• Understand and follow individual payer claims and a! ppeals processes
• Review and evaluate patient's claim ! status; contact the insurance company, collect and provide medical information as required by the payer
• Audit denials and investigate reasons for them; make appropriate corrections to reprocess and/or appeal the claims
• Select claims for billing secondary payers
• Evaluate explanation of benefits in order to properly apply payments and adjustments to a patient’s account
• Post adjustments and/or discounts as approved by clients and management
• Build and maintain positive relationships with all payer provider representatives
• Post payer denials and transfer AR balance to the appropriate party as per payer EOB
