Location: Las Vegas, Nevada

Description: Clark County, NV is in need of PTH - ESTATE COORDINATOR right now, this vacancy will be assigned in Nevada. The Department of Finance is currently accepting applications for the position of part-time Estate Coordinator. Part-time employment will not lead to permanent employment. Part-time employees do not! receive benefits.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education and Experience: Completion of high school education and preference of two years of college level course work. Preferred experience handling complex case management or assisting in case management involving federal, state or local mandates, financial transactions, case documentation and record keeping, coordination of case volume over extended period of time, dealing with demanding clients or customers ranging from a variety of social economic backgrounds, homeless to affluent.

Licensing and Certification: Must possess a valid Nevada Class C driver's license at time of appo! intment.

Background Investigation: Employment ! is contingent upon the results of a background investigation.

Drug Testing: Employment is contingent upon the results of pre-employment drug testing.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Working with close oversight and direction from lead and supervisory staff, supports the case management efforts of the department. Verifies inventories of personal property of both monetary and non-monetary value belonging to deceased persons. Conducts phone conversations and information gathering with Next of Kin (NOK), families, friends, and associates of decedents to determine propriety of office involvement. Collects data, verifies inventory, and asset information. Conducts ongoing research for assets and/or family. Discusses property release and/or Public Administrator's role in Probate process with NOK, families, executors/executrixes, other authorized agents or representatives. Meets with family members or representatives to release property for safekeeping and en! sure release documents are presented, signed and notarized, Ensures that fees are collected and property re-verified. Manages estate's assets as mandated by Nevada Revised Statutes. Coordinates various facets of process with Realtors, bankers, attorneys, accountants and other professionals. Documents case activity in case management system, inventory management system and other related software applications on an ongoing basis. Establishes rapport with support agencies, including federal, state, city, county, and private agencies, to effectively provide services for the successful administration of the estate. Sets priorities daily to maximize service to estates and to accommodate ongoing cases. Performs general clerical duties, such as typing, filing, scanning, purging, property sorting, telephone inquiries. Drives a vehicle when needed to attend Probate Court, visit financial institutions, law firms, or real properties, as needed. And assists with other duties as assigned! .

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Primary work environment fluctu! ates between the standard office setting, to a property storage/warehouse environment, to buildings that may be in various states of repair or cleanliness and which may not meet handicapped accessibility standards. Work with exposure to hazardous conditions or threatening situations. Attend Court, when assigned, visit financial institutions or other agencies or firms, as assigned.
